Dear Friend,
Caring and Contributing vs Isolating and Wanting
Do you think it is possible to create a community where we care for each other instead of trying to survive on our own? Can we change so much in consciousness that we can shift
- from wanting something for ourselves to contributing to the whole
- from keeping ourselves separate to simply caring for each other?
I don’t know if this is possible, but I want it to be. And in order to create that, I need to be able to live that in my own life first. The most obvious place to implement that is my own neighborhood, and here we are all quite excited about the idea of caring and contributing starting in our community Garden.
The Garden of Eden
We want to grow food for all of us and extra for those in need. Those of us who have time and energy are just going to plant and fill all the beds with vegetables so there is plenty for everyOne. And everyOne is invited to eat and use what they need.
Nobody really knows on a practical level how that will unfold, but we are willing to create this wonderful experiment and find out. It feels so good to me to create something together that we all long for. All we needed was to make that choice and then act on it.
There has never really been a lack of food in the world, only a lack of understanding how to grow it sustainably and share it with everyOne.
Hope In A Changing Climate
This little movie really inspired me. It shows how a community that works together can completely change the whole environment and ecology in a very short time. It is called Hope in a Changing Climate and gives us a clear Vision of what is possible.
What if we all chose to work together, care for each other and contribute whatever we are capable of to make our community a sustainable, caring place to live?
I invite you to join me tomorrow Tuesday at Evolutionary Women Radio to explore this Vision with me.
