Committed to My Health
Dear Friend,
There are so many things you can commit to that you know are good for you, yet it can seem overwhelming to make changes that affect all areas of life. You know you have to give up things that give you a sense of pleasure. The fear of being deprived is a big fear that guards us from giving up things we know are not good for us.
Lately I have noticed more and more of my friends are changing their eating habits and are taking themselves and their health more seriously. I thought it was just me when I stopped eating sugar earlier this year. It turns out that so many people I know are doing the same. Cutting out all the things we know are not good for our health and well being. So we are not committing to not eating sugar or wheat etc, but it is a deep feeling of being committed to our health.
Remember how I earlier talked about the importance of knowing and feeling what it is you want the outcome to be, instead of focusing of what you don’t want? This certainly applies to your health too. When you feel committed to feeling good and being healthy, having lots of good energy and keep that as your goal, it seems that all the resistances you may have to give up your little addictions lose their power.
When I gave up sugar and its substitutes awhile ago, I could already feel how good it would make me feel to be free from this addiction. This feeling made it a very easy move to make. Recently, I have also given up several other foods and gone on a real cleanse to give my body the best opportunity to be as healthy as possible. And again, as soon as I could feel how good this is for me, it was really easy. I have not felt deprived at all, even though I am on a very restrictive cleanse for several months.
I am committed to my health and well being and that commitment makes me sail through the cleanse with ease and grace and lots of magic. I keep meeting people who are doing the same and who have great ideas and recipes to share and the whole journey is becoming one of love and sharing vs deprivation and loneliness. Everybody I know who is committing to their health are so happy and inspired that it rubs off on everybody else too.
