Definition of Womanpreneur

Dear Friend,

I just got off a wonderful radio show at Evolutionary Women Radio where we talked about yesterday’s subject on Womanpreneur. Before the show I looked up the words entrepreneur, innovation and enterprise and got more insight about some of the things we are going through. Let me share the definitions I found:

Entrepreneur: One who undertakes innovations or introducing new things, finance or business, in an effort to transform innovations into economic goods.
Innovation: New customers value through solutions  that meet new needs, inarticulate needs, or old needs in a new way. (It specified that they were different – not better solutions.)
Enterprise: Initiative; a project or undertaking that requires effort.

What I found interesting is that these are the old definitions that we are still trying to fit into as women. We are trying to make the existing solutions better, instead of creating new ones. And they require effort it says at the end. But what effort do they talk about? Do they mean overriding your feelings and put your mind to it only?

So could it be that we as womenpreneurs do not fit into the old definitions of entrepreneurs? Could it be that we are the ones who are going to define what it means to be a womanpreneur?
Let’s define it. Let’s define the definition of womanpreneur together and create ‘her.’ Please share with us below what it means to you if you had your way and were writing the dictionary. What are the new and different solutions we want to embody and share with the world?

If you read yesterday’s blog, you know we are talking about womenpreneurs stepping out of the old paradigm and how challenging that can be. Somehow I feel I made a dent in this old paradigm by exposing what we are unconsciously up against:
fear of being different,
fear of following your own Heart no matter what, and
fear of letting go of the ‘proven’ ways that work in the old paradigm.

Dear Ladies, let’s not be afraid of being a woman anymore and start trusting what we know is true. We are still surrounded by old paradigm energy, so don’t expect everybody is going to agree with you. Connect with your friends and guides who do understand you and are willing to support you in finding your own wings. I for one am rooting for you: “Yes, you are on track now. Keep walking. Don’t look back. Don’t compare. Trust your Heart and all is well!”
