Preparing for Peace
Dear Friend,
- Would you like some Peace?
- Preferably before the Holidays?
Who doesn’t want peace these days! It seems so far away at times, and yet it is closer than you may think.
I have realized that wanting something – anything really – more than anything else, is what it takes to ‘have’ that experience in my life.
Looking for the Keys
Have you ever heard the story of a man who is looking for his keys under the streetlight outside his house on a dark night?
Then somebody walks up to him and asks:
“What are you looking for?”
“Oh, I lost my keys and cannot find them.”
“Where did you lose them?”
He points to his home and answers : “Over there somewhere at the entrance, but it is so dark, that I cannot see anything there.”
Sounds familiar? I think we have all tried looking for something we really want in the wrong places outside of our Home, hoping it will somehow show up.
I know I have done it. More than once 🙂 How about you?
If you are looking for Peace outside of yourself, well, blessings to you. You probably know by now that it doesn’t work that way. Actually, looking for any experience in the outside world will never work. Peace is not something tangible that you can find outside of yourself or buy through a peace pact. Peace is an experience that you bring to the situation and that comes from your inner Being. You have to Be It. Well, you already are it, but what good does that do if you don’t know that or can’t feel it?
How do you bring Peace from within when there is a constant inner war going on?
Yes, you guessed it! Stop your inner war first and bring a white flag to all the parts that you are at war with. You can actually start that process now, before the holidays, and then look forward to real peace and joy, during this special time of the year.
Meditation and Mindfulness
Personally I don’t know how I could have found a true resting place inside without a daily practice of spending time in meditation and connecting with the Sweetness of the Divine. As well as taking time to befriend all the parts that I have left in the dark in the past. I make time for that every single day to help establish a deeper and stronger realization that carries me through any outer turmoil. I really don’t think there is another way but tapping into this on a regular basis.
Be Kind to Your Mind
This was ‘2 days ago’s’ title of my blog post. It is such a beautiful experience when we authentically befriend our mind and come to peace with it so we can spend our precious time in conscious company with the Divine instead.
After teaching meditation and mindfulness at UCSC since 2008, I have created a CD set that helps you reach that place of peace and serenity. Through 6 specific classes and meditations I guide you through the obstacles that normally get the best of most of us, and into your Heart and the place of Being where Peace resides.
Share your Presence as a Present
It will soon be available on my website and as a way to make it available to as many people as possible, I am going to offer it as a super special deal during the month of December. I want to give you the opportunity to reach that place of Peace … and share it with a friend … for free. Imagine if we all share the Six Simple Steps to Serenity with each other before the end of the year…both as our presence and as a present. 2012 is here 🙂
Stay tuned a little longer, while it is getting ready to be launched.
In the meantime: Take some time for yourSelf and go inside to connect with the peace that is patiently waiting for YOU.
ALL Love,
Pernilla
