Dear Friend,
Do you ever wonder why most of us settle for something that we know is not going to make us happy, fulfilled or in any way live in alignment with our deepest Truth?
I have often asked myself that question, both for myself and in general.
The only answer I can come up with why we do so is that we don’t feel we deserve it, are worthy of it, or plainly that we cannot have it.
Our minds are so trained to settle, expect less and play it small that we don’t even question it.
As a spiritual seeker I believed for many years that God didn’t want ‘it’ for me, so I accepted that – well sort of – and put it under the heading: “This is God’s Will.” (Please substitute the word God for what resonates with you)
But it never gave me a real sense of peace. It felt like a withholding and conditional God, even more so than how I was in my life towards others, especially towards my cats 🙂
No, it didn’t make sense.
Later, as my spiritual path ‘progressed’ and I started realizing that there is no God out there who wants or doesn’t want something for me, and that I am ‘as God as it gets,’ I had to examine how I am God’s will, and how consequently I am the one not wanting ‘it’ for me. (whatever ‘it’ is for each one of us.)
At least I wasn’t projecting my limitations onto ‘God’ anymore and could start investigating my motives for being my own withholding God to myself. This of course links into last week’s post about feeling deprived.
There are several bible quotes that always helped me bust these limiting, depriving beliefs, and help me dwell on something that resonates much deeper in my Heart and Soul:
And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind…..and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. (KJV: 12:29,30)
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.(KJV: Luke 12:32)
And he said to him, Son, you are ever with me, and all that I have is yours. (KJV: Luke 15.31)
Doesn’t sound like deprivation or withholding, does it?
And then this one:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (KJV: Luke 12:34)
Where is your Heart? What is your Heart saying? What does it long for?
Could it be that your Heart is a more real term for God, Kingdom or Treasure?
Your Beautiful Heart knows your needs before you do
It is your Heart’s Good Pleasure to Give you what you long for
Your Heart says: All that I have is Yours
Listen to your Beautiful Heart and find what you need, want and came here for. All it takes is learn to listen to it and trust it. No small task after lifetimes of ignoring it and believing the mind’s limitations instead.
Still, it is time to move out of the shallow waters of limitation, deprivation and settling and dive into the deep end of the pool – Your Heart – Your Treasure, where there is no lack, no want and no settling. Your Heart is the Kingdom – the Portal for all your longings to express themselves.
Remember last week’s quote: “It is OK to have what you want?”
Shall we jump in?
ALL Love,
Pernilla
