Women On the Rise

I recently heard a very successful Womanpreneur Ali Brown share the statistics about women leaving the corporate world and starting their own business is growing exponentially:

• In 2010 women became the majority of the US work force for the first time in the country’s history
• Men kept dominating the executive ranks and board rooms, and women were saying “See ya!” and leaving the corporate world in droves to start businesses of their own at a faster rate than ever before
• A business report conducted by American Express found that between 1997-2011 the number of businesses in the US increased by 34%. The number of women owned businesses grew more than twice the rate of male owned businesses.
• What this means is that right now, there are more businesses being started by women than men. This has never happened in all of recorded history.

There is more to the story, because women who consider themselves intermediate or advanced business owners only make an average of $2000 a month working more than full time. Obviously there is some kind of imbalance here and as women we still have much to learn about being successful in the entrepreneurial world. However…. it is happening and it doesn’t look like it is going to change.

What do I do now?

Why am I sharing these numbers with you, you may wonder. Well when I heard those statistics it really confirmed the fact that so many women are going through deep identity crisis after a break up or other transitions in their lives and are wondering what their life is all about now.
Everything is suddenly new and they realize that they just cannot pick up the pieces and continue the same way as before, yet don’t have access to a new better way of ‘doing life’ yet.
I think by now we have realized that the way the world has been run does not work, and many of us have great ideas and insights about better ways to run the world but don’t know where to start.

Challenging times – new opportunities

If you are a woman going through some challenging times and are not sure if you can trust your own wisdom and intuition because you have never really been taken seriously as a women, please don’t despair.
I know it is not easy to start from scratch when you don’t have a road map to follow, yet this is such a valuable opportunity to start a whole new life based on real core values and healthy authentic choices.
Wouldn’t you agree that it is hard to relate to those people who haven’t taken you seriously because you are just different and you just don’t fit in there anymore?

If any of this is true for you, you are actually in a very good place. What we as women have done is not take ourselves seriously because others didn’t. If we can start turning that one around, at least we are going in the right direction, and… creating a new road map that works!

Tuning into the new energies

My Friends, times are changing. The old ways are on their way out and the New Way is barely here. Well, it is here, but we need to start tuning into this new energy and go with it instead of against it. This is how we create this new road map – one step at a time. As we take those steps we make it easier for others to take their next steps. This is how it seems to work now. We create as we go – we don’t follow old outdated road maps anymore.

I am extremely passionate about this subject. This new energy has gotten more real and alive to me than anything else. The old ways that people live by seem like a distant memory and something I just cannot relate to or get caught up in. That is why I love to share the new with you and invite you into this new playing field where we live by totally different rules.
