How to Commit and Succeed!
Dear Friend,
Are you still with me and up for learning more about True Commitment, so you can commit and succeed?
What would you like to commit to and succeed at this time?
What have you tried in the past, yet failed?
You know, it really comes down to how badly you want it. As I write that word ‘badly’ I sort of cringe, because it has a wrong ‘feel’ to it. Saying how ‘goodly’ you want it, does not make sense. How about ‘How deeply do you want it?’ That feels much better and in resonance with what I am talking about. How deeply do you want it? Can you feel how deep it goes in your body, your bones and your being? Take a moment and really feel how important this issue is in your life that you want to commit to and succeed in this time. What is the experience you are longing for?
For instance, if you want to lose weight, what is the feeling of the outcome you want to experience?
Is it feeling better inside? Is it looking better outside? Is it to care more for yourself and respect what you know is good for you? And when you have that, what does that feel like? Take a moment here and give yourself the feeling of the experience of what that feels like when you commit and succeed. This is the beginning of your success story.
When you really know what feeling you want from your commitment, then committing to having that feeling is where your fuel will come from.
As long as you commit to something you don’t want, such as ‘losing weight’, ‘quit drinking’, ‘stop being angry/lazy/sad’ etc, you are actually putting your energy into something you don’t want and it may not be surprising that you lose interest and don’t follow through.
Today, I want to invite your to focus on what you actually want to commit to when you say you want to make a change. What is the feeling you are after? What experience are you hoping to get?
Can you feel how different that is? You are focusing on something you want and that feels good, and that in itself is much more inspiring and motivating. This of course is not the whole answer to how to commit and succeed, but it sure is an essential first step in the right direction. Without this first step you may be taking off in the wrong direction and find yourself lost in your old pattern sooner than later.
Spend some time today getting clear on what you really (deeply) want instead of what you don’t want and notice any changes in yourself. Feel free to share. We can all learn from each other.
ALL Love,
Pernilla
